Incorporating high-flow ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) filtration media, GORE® filters can be used in high-throughput filling, packaging, and recirculation systems for high-viscosity fluids, acids, bases, solvents, specialty chemicals, and other high-purity chemicals used in semiconductor and electronics fabrication. They are available in pore sizes from 0.1-0.03 µm.

Self-supporting OdorGuard® Rigid Cell Filters remove odors, VOCs, and light gases. Units are available with granular activated carbon or 50/50 blend of carbon and activated alumina impregnated with 5% potassium permanganate. Filters are 24 x 24 x 12 in., pleated, and provide 7 lb of GAC or 8.6 lb of 50/50 adsorbent blend. Galvanized steel frames resist corrosion in moist, humid conditions, and are available with or without header.

Totally enclosed Hoesch DS uses polypropylene membranes arranged so that filter cake only contacts filter cloth. Cake discharge is to one side only for easy product recovery. Press is constructed of stainless steel and polypropylene, with other options available. Filters are available in sizes from 19 to 1720 sq ft filtration area. Chemical-processing applications include solvent-wetted processes and sanitary applications.
