Series PLM, available in pin sizes 13, 16, 20, and 25 mm, is pneumatically powered actuator that locates, clamps, and supports parts in welding applications. Clamp mounts to robots and is fully enclosed to provide protection against weld slag and other contaminants. Built-in locking mechanism holds panel in place and standard manual unlock allows part retrieval if air pressure is lost or removed. Part support height adjusts with NAAMS(TM) shims.

Series PFC Clamps with W-Jaw produce 7,200 lb of total clamp force, 2.187 in. above tooling surface at 87 psi. Force is constant as jaws close through last 2° per jaw, producing 0.150 in. wide power window. Tooling surface has dowels and threads to NAMS NC blocks. Modular design allows jaws and bushing block to be removed for modification. Position sensing option provides open and close sensing with AC or DC weldfield immune switch mounted to protected housing.

The 1/2-Clampâ"¢ aligns material ranging from large pipes to flat stock with memories. User tack welds front side of 1½ x 2 in. pipe to lower side of 2 surfaces to be aligned. Clamp slides onto pipe and screw is turned until material comes into alignment. Pipe can be broken off easily, and weld spot can be ground off after weld is completed. For big jobs, welder can remove, rotate, and reuse same piece of pipe at least 20 times, moving it down material as needed.

Series PB Clamps employ hardened helical spline with 3 hardnened drive balls. Two sizes with left and right rotations are available. Adjustable rear plug allows arm position to be adjusted up to 90° at installation. Rod weld cover protects cylinder rod and bearing areas from weld splatter during clamping.
