LABasix(TM) SA2 series solid aluminum breadboards are machined from 0.5 in. thick 6061 aluminum. Standard grid of tapped holes extends to within 0.5 in. of plate edges; imperial models feature 1/4-20 tapped holes on 1 in. grid while metric models feature M6 tapped holes on 25 mm grid. Counter-bored holes and deep edge chamfers aid in lifting, aligning, and integration of unit onto standard optical tables, while anodized deep black color minimizes surface reflections.

Vibralite breadboards are available for prototyping, small optical systems, mounting lasers, optical assembly, and inspection areas. Nonmagnetic Series 5500 has structural core of extruded aluminum surrounded by 3/16 in. anodized aluminum skin. Ferromagnetic Series 5600 has extruded aluminum core surrounded by 1/8 in. skin of SS. Honeycomb-core Series 5700 is made of corrosion-resistant, plated-steel hexagonal cells beneath 3/16 in. ferromagnetic SS top skin. Series 5800 has slightly thinner skin. Series 6100 has ferromagnetic SS skin covering aluminum core.
