            <title>Automatic Guided Vehicle incorporates 360&amp;#194;&amp;#176; safety feature.</title>
            <link>http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/521659</link>
            <description>
Used in palletizing applications, Q20ZA automated guided vehicle (AGV) is equipped with dual Sick S300 Safety Laser scanners that provide 360&amp;#194;&amp;#176; field of protection. Each scanner, positioned on opposite corners of AGV, is linked to vehicle's PLC and wheel-drive encoder. If obstruction is detected in warning zone, vehicle slows down to a halt until obstruction is removed. Safety scanners also automatically change sensing ranges based on speed and steering angle.

            <title>AGV Drive Unit facilitates parts transport.</title>
            <link>http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/483120</link>
            <description>
Featuring low profile design, BST AGV Drive Unit consists of drive motor, 24 Vdc power supply, control electronics, and guidance sensors. Unit travels along magnetic tape guide path, glides under stationary push cart, and engages cart by extending catch pin into cart's frame. Drive then conveys cart to required workstations or load/unload points and disengages from cart. Offering capacity of 1,100 lb, unit provides unidirectional travel with speed range of 13-164 fpm.

            <title>Automated Guided Vehicle suits palletizing applications.</title>
            <link>http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/467958</link>
            <description>
Using laser guided system, Automated Guided Vehicle features lift capacity of 2,000 lb, 2-stage mast for 110 in. vertical lift, and can travel at 230 fpm. By adding AGV to palletizing process, manufacturers can eliminate use of pallet conveyors and damage caused by human error. Supported by Danaher NDC8 platform, driverless automated forklift can be navigated through manufacturing plants using routes and path information that have been downloaded through wireless LAN.
