            <title>Butterfly Laser Mounting Module has dual-station design.</title>
            <link>http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/537287</link>
            <description>
Integrated cooling module, DBH-022, facilitates installation/removal of 14-pin butterfly laser packages for quick power on inspection, repair, burn-in, or integration into end products. Solution combines OEM fan mounted heatsink HS-022 with two 14-pin butterfly mounting boards model BA-01. Thermal resistance of 0.22&amp;#176;C/W translates to less than 15&amp;#176;C temperature rise over ambient when loaded with two pump lasers, which can be mounted or removed independently.

            <title>Submounts offer 3- and 4-side metallization.</title>
            <link>http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/536040</link>
            <description>
Intended for demanding optoelectronic applications, Laser Diode Submounts offer 25-75 micron thick copper metallization and Zero Pullback(TM) from burr-free ceramic edge. Submount materials include BeO with thermal conductivity from 280-325 W/moK and AlN from 170-230 W/moK. PCTF&amp;#174; technology combines elements of thick and thin films with plated copper and nickel/gold finish. Selective plating capability ensures optimal wettability of GaAs dice by gold tin soldering.
