Optical dome protects from sand, water, and harsh chemicals. Featuring 2000 Knoop hardness, scratch-resistant dome exhibits <25 µm wall thickness variation, <1 fringe/in. surface accuracy measured at 633 nm, and surface finishes to 20-10 scratch-dig per MIL-PRF-13830. Dome can transmit from UV to IR, providing 85% transmission when uncoated and 99% transmission with anti-reflective coatings on 2 sides. Sizes up to 6 in. dia can be fabricated.
