Single part, water-dispersed, ceramic-silicone sealant Fiber-Bond(TM) FO-380 seals fiber optic strands into stainless steel and ceramic ferrules used to support fiber optic bundles for high temperature applications to 716°F. It has viscosity of 60 Cp, solids content of 21.0% by weight, and offers moisture resistance and dielectric properties across operating temperature range. Applied by brush, dipping, or spraying, sealant sets at room temperature and cures fully in 45 min at 450°F.

Recommended cure is 1 h at 250°F, while shorter cures can be achieved at temperatures between 325-350°F. Exhibiting minimal shrinkage upon cure, product has service operating temperature range of -60 to 400°F and tensile strength greater than 10,000 psi.
