Tweco® WeldSkill® helmet can be used in both weld and grind mode and will darken when TIG welding even at 5 A. Solar powered helmet has viewing area of 3.86 x 1.69 in. and weighs 16 oz. When switching from dark-to-light, users can select from three switching speeds: short (0.25-0.35 sec), medium (0.35-0.50 sec) and long (0.50-0.80 sec). Auto Lift helmet is offered in versions with external controls (Auto Lift XE) or internal controls (Auto Lift XI). Latter suits welders who do not need to frequently change settings they are using; users can still adjust cartridge, but it has to be removed. Auto Lift EV (Easy View) uses same shell design as other versions that feature X-view cartridge, but incorporates glass passive UV/IR filter. All Auto Lift versions can be upgraded at any time.
