Tidland Corp.    Camas, WA 98607
Jun 14, 2010 Featuring dust-tight, water-resistant, rugged enclosure, Class III e-Knifeholder also offers automatic calibration of side-force and overlap to ensure reliable performance in demanding, mill-duty operations. Once optimal settings are configured, at factory or via electronic interface, changeover can be achieved without operator intervention.

Electronic Thermocutter weighs 11-½ oz.

Abbeon California, Inc.    Santa Barbara, CA 93101
Jan 19, 2009 With transformer replaced by high-tech electronics, AZTC-20 electronic thermocutter cuts synthetic fabrics, plastic tubes, fiber optics, foam and similar materials that tend to crimp, serrate or unravel when cold cutters are used. Temperature in unit is controlled from zero to 1050ºF, while electrical current control switch allows selection of large blades. Cutting foot accessory lifts synthetic fabric or thin plastic off cutting surface before coming in contact with heated blade.

Nov 20, 2008 Microprocessor-controlled MMC200 cuts round or flat material up to 3.94 in. wide and 5/8 in. thick and can be programmed to cut any length (in. or mm), with 1% or better tolerance. It is also programmable for up to 99 batches and 10 fixed feed rates. MMC200 is rated to cut up to 7,592, 2-in. pieces/hr through makerials such as copper wire and cable, silver solder, power cords, cellophane, fiberglass sleeving, latex, fabrics, belting, flat and ribbon cable, strapping, hosing and tubing.

Conveyorized Cutters target apparel and flexible materials.

Gerber Technology, Inc.    Tolland, CT 06084
Aug 07, 2008 Supplied with CutWorks® software for full automation, single-ply GERBERcutter® Models DCS3600/3600L include TargetVision digital camera technology for capturing detailed images of materials placed on cutting table. AutoMat System, which addresses requirements of specialized mat industry, uses scanner technology that recognizes where mat's carpet and rubber border meet. With longer cut window, Model DCS3600L enables manufacturers to cut pieces up to 10 ft in length between bites.

High Speed Sheeter delivers precision (0.25 mm) cutting.

MEGTEC Systems Inc.    De Pere, WI 54115-5030
Jun 30, 2008 Roll-Blade RQS incorporates optimized web-air-transport system, Airstream II, which optimizes performance levels while minimizing energy consumption and noise. Available with speeds to 50,000 and 60,000 cp/h, sheeter enables important process parameters to be adjusted centrally during production. Papers of different quality can be used without problems, and Web Snap system avoids paper wraps at low paper weights.

Multi-Ply Cutter features automated knife technology.

Gerber Scientific Products, Inc.    South Windsor, CT 06074
Jun 24, 2008 With programmable machine settings, GERBERcutter® Z7 multi-ply cutter helps maximize throughput and yield while cutting intricate shapes, multiple hole sizes, and notches. It is suited for full range of material types and thicknesses, including bi-laminate foams, technical textiles, and high-loft fabrics. Product targets automotive, aerospace, and technical textiles markets.

Mar 17, 2004 Hanita square- and ball-nosed end mills, designed for mold and die machining, cut materials such as graphite and steels hardened to 60 Rockwell C at speeds to 150 m/min. Offered in 4 series, Diamond Like Coating or TiAIN coatings are available. Hanita Vision end mills, designed for machining hardened steels up to 67 Rockwell C, operate at speeds to 200 m/min. They give surface finish of 63Ra and come in sizes from 4–25 mm dia with length of cut from 8–45 mm.

Dec 10, 2003 Equipped with variable-frequency vector drive, CompuSheeter II handles materials such as paper, fiberglass, foam, foil, nonwovens, vinyl, rubber, plastic, and insulation. Rate of speed depends on size and type of material and desired tolerance. Unit also comes with 200 lb unwind, tension brake with 3 in. cores, PLC control system, and programmable length control for tolerances of ±1/16 in. Custom programming and configurations are available.

Aug 06, 2003 ServoSheeter provides high-speed operation and close tolerance performance similar to rotary sheeter. Down-acting scissor shear cuts clean in short and long increments. Optional fixed-gap shear allows clean cuts through dense materials. Machine features heavy duty components and brushless servo motor for minimal maintenance. Optional Allen-Bradley PLC controls are available, allowing operator to control equipment from remote touchscreen.

Dec 16, 2002 Roll-Fed Sheeter undwinds 2 different rolls of aluminum foil laminated paper at 90° angle to each other. One roll goes into 45° breakover roller to align both rolls together in same direction, then roll material is spliced together and processed. System maps and detects each splice; spliced sections of web are automatically rejected. Roll material is sheeted to precise lengths, and conveyor delivers sheets to next step in processing line.

Apr 22, 2002 Roll-Fed System slits and sheets rolls of material weighing up to 8,000 lb. Material is slit, accumulated through controlled gravity loops to restrict material stretch, and cut using gap shear cutter. Gripper stacker grabs sheets and stacks them for use. Operator needs only to load roll, adjust sheet length and slit width, and unload stacks of finished material for next processing operation.
