CMOS X-Ray Detectors allows use of lower radiation doses.

Dexela Limited
London N1 7EU  United Kingdom
Nov 16, 2009 Dexela flat panel CMOS X-ray detectors are based on CMOS sensor that features high fill factor, efficiency, and low noise which combine to produce DQE of 0.70 at skin dose of 280 µGy. Sensor consists of photodiode array with pixel size of 75 µm, while detectors are available in models with up to 86 fps frame rate and active area up to 290 x 230 mm. They feature shock-/vibration-resistant aluminum housing and operate in temperatures from 10-40°C. High-speed Camera Link interface is included.

Varian Medical Systems, Inc.
Palo Alto, CA 94304
Jun 09, 2009 Operating at speeds up to 30 fps, PaxScan® 3030+ lets physicians monitor interventional procedures, including placement of catheters within blood vessels, in real-time. Multi-modality panel is also designed for use in cardiovascular imaging systems and surgical C-arms. While 194 micron pixel pitch results in images with enhanced contrast resolution and no distortion, cesium iodide scintillator optimized for scanning at 40-150 kV minimizes X-ray dose to patient.

GE Sensing
Billerica, MA 01821
Aug 25, 2008 Able to be operated as point (0D) and linear (1D) detector, Meteor1D uses single photon counting principle and incorporates semiconductor technology. Maintenance-free unit, compliant with health and safety regulations, requires no gas or cooling and does not employ any Beryllium. In static and scanning mode, with energies from 5 keV (Cr) to 18 keV (Mo), detection efficiency is greater than 98% for copper. Detector housing accommodates detection angle (2 Theta) of more than 170ş.
