Torsional Stiffness Tester measures rigidity of leather samples.

October 15, 2010

Torsional stiffness apparatus 108 measures flexibility and stiffness of leather or other bendable specimen. Mounted to rigid stand, instrument includes torsion head with dial protractor that is turned in plane normal to device's fixed torsion wire, until specimen is twisted 90°. Torsion values are obtained by measuring applied angular twist required to reorient sample 90° or other specified setting. Unit is based on apparatus described in test method ASTM D2821. Read More
