PDA-based SoNoScout NVH incorporates 2 microphones mounted on pair of folding headphones for recording and analyzing binaural sound in vehicle applications. Recorded data can be analyzed on PDA, transferred to supplied PC software, or exported to other analysis systems. System simultaneously stores audio and positional data through included GPS device to allow route mapping while also allowing users to plot vehicle speed during recording.

Designed for occasional/semi-permanent outdoor noise monitoring of city, factory, and construction site noise, SoundTrack LxT® firmware v1.3 allows for overall statistical history, and provides data interval logging to measure every 100 msec. It is fully supported by Windows®-based Data, Navigation, and Analysis (DNA) software for sound and vibration exposure measurement, analysis, and reporting. Data can be logged directly onto USB thumb drive for collection/analysis with DNA.
