Former measures one differential input channel, while letter includes internal multiplexer and measures 2 single-ended or 1 differential input channel. Both models operate from 5 V supply, dissipating 15 mW at max output rate and 70 µW at 1 kSps. Separate digital output supply voltage lets users configure serial data output for 3 or 5 V logic.

Both AS1528 single-channel fully differential ADC and AS1529 dual-channel single-ended ADC consume less than 350 µA at max sampling rate. Automatic shutdown (sleep mode) between conversions enables lower rates of power consumption down to 2.5 µA at 1 Ksps or 200 nA during shutdown.
