With 14 electric motors turning propellers and all of them integrated into uniquely designed wing, NASA's Hybrid Electric Research Plane, designated X-57 and nicknamed Maxwell, will test new propulsion technology. As part of Diesel Emission Reduction program, EPA announced availability of $1 million in grant funding for tribal applicants to establish clean diesel projects. Under grant competition, applicants may request up to $800,000 in federal funding.
