Jul 10, 2008 Suited for limited space applications, TorqSense RWT330/340 Series provides non-contact measurement of torque, speed, power, and position of rotating shafts. Tiny piezo-ceramic combs fixed to transducer's shaft distort in proportion to instantaneous torque level, creating data signals that are transmitted via non-contact radio frequency coupling. Once transmitted to control unit, signals can be read on alphanumeric display or transferred to PC for storage and analysis.

They output ±10 or ±5 V analogs of torque, as well as engineering unit data via resident com port. Calibration values, scaling, and units of measure are stored in nonvolatile memory and automatically loaded on power up, with 10 units supported. Internal signal processing is accurate to 14 bits and devices are offered in accuracy grades of 0.2% and 0.15%.
