Magnetic Field Indicators detect tampering with meters.

Magnetic Field Indicators detect tampering with meters.

KBR MAGNETO
Czestochowa 42-224  Poland
Sep 29, 2009 Providing permanent registration of magnetic field presence, Magnetic Field Indicators can be used to identify tampering with water meters, watt-hour meters, and gas meters using external magnetic field. One-threshold Model MFI-3 registers magnetic field coming from neodymium magnets, while 2-threshold Model MFI-4 registers magnetic field coming from ferrite magnets and neodymium magnets. Both can be installed on internal or external surface of measuring device.

Hall-Effect Sensor detects numerous targets.

Hall-Effect Sensor detects numerous targets.

Allegro MicroSystems Inc.
Worcester, MA 01615
May 27, 2009 Capable of switching in response to changing magnetic fields, ATS617LSG uses analog peak-detecting algorithm, automatic gain control, and integrated tracking capacitor to provide accurate edge detection corresponding to rotating ferrous target. Capable of sensing variety of target geometries, ATS617LSG is offered in SG over-molded package, which consists of samarium cobalt magnet and a Hall-Effect IC. It is lead-free, with 100% matte tin lead frame plating.

Balluff, Inc.
Florence, KY 41042-0937
May 15, 2009 Featuring 1 connection for 2 sensors, V-Twin(TM) sensors are suited for detecting multiple positions on pneumatic grippers and cylinders, and doubling number of sensors in multiple interface box. They use magneto-resistive technology to detect piston magnet through aluminum wall of cylinder, and include universal compatibility with either Hall Effect or Reed Switch cylinder magnet polarizations. Sensors are available in several sizes and form factors, including weld field immune version.

Magnetic Field Sensors utilize only 1 connector.

Balluff, Inc.
Florence, KY 41042-0937
May 15, 2009 Requiring only one 4-conductor cable with M8 or M12 connections for 2 end-of-stroke sensors, BMF V-Twin(TM) Sensors use magneto-resistive technology to detect piston magnet through aluminum wall of cylinder. Units feature noise immunity and universal compatibility with Hall Effect or Reed Switch cylinder magnet polarizations. Equipped with short circuit, overload, and reverse polarity protection, sensors are suitable for detecting multiple positions on pneumatic grippers and cylinders.

Pre-Tilted Gyro-Sensor aids in-dash navigation systems.

Seiko Epson Corporation
Suwa, Nagano   Japan
Nov 15, 2007 Suited for dead reckoning (DR) method used in car navigation, 6.0 x 4.8 x 3.3 mm XV-8000LK employs crystal gyro-element design, QMEMS, and low-power analog circuits that lend to stability. Solution is assembled with a pre-tilt angle in package, affording flexibility in determining installation angle. Available with 10° or 20° tilt angle, Pb-free product has airtight structure, employs temperature compensation circuit, and is resistant to shock and vibration.

Vehicle Sensor offers integrated wireless connectivity.

Banner Engineering Corp.
Minneapolis, MN 55441
Aug 07, 2007 Suited for multiple vehicle sensing applications, M-GAGE(TM) Wireless Sensor Node comes with integrated FlexPower(TM) battery that supplies power for both sensing and wireless connectivity up to 10 yrs. Sensor features IP67/NEMA 6 housing, internal or external antennas, and 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz systems for global applications. Product also offers connectivity to Modbus RTU RS-485 and RS-232 serial communications protocols, and can detect 3D changes in Earth's magnetic field.

Ferromagnetic Sensor provides vehicle detection.

Banner Engineering Corp.
Minneapolis, MN 55441
Jan 16, 2004 Utilizing magnetoresistive-based passive sensing technology, M-GAGEŽ S18M detects 3-dimensional changes in Earth's magnetic field when presence of large metal objects such as car, truck, or railcar is introduced, causing sensor's output to switch. Unlike inductive loop technologies, self-contained sensor functions as receiver and has no external controller. Program commands can be entered through pushbutton on sensor or via portable programming box when sensor is inaccessible.
