Shielded Robot Cable resists high levels of torsion.

Igus, Inc.
East Providence, RI 02914 0349
Mar 23, 2009 Chainflex® CF Robot twistable cable can handle 3 million torsional movements to ±270°. Designed for robotic and non-robotic applications, it features torsion-resistant tin-plated copper shield sheath, with outer sheath material being high-grade TPE mixture. System is suited for use with Triflex® R cable carrier, which protects moving cables and hoses on 6-axis robots and can twist up to 380°/yd.

Unicables withstand torsional stress of robotic welding.

Tregaskiss, Ltd.
Oldcastle, ON N0R1L0  Canada
Mar 17, 2009 Supplied standard with TOUGH GUN ThruArm(TM) Series Robotic MIG Guns or available separately, TOUGH GUN(TM) LSR Low Stress Robotic Unicables include rotating power connection that relieves stress caused by routine cable torsion, and protective conduit to shield cable components from harsh welding environments. At 100% duty cycle, LSR Unicables provides 500 A air-cooled capacity with CO2 and 350 A with mixed gases, based on NEMA standards.

Robot Cable enables continuous twisting motion.

Lapp USA
Florham Park, NJ 07932
Apr 25, 2006 With temperature range of -40 to +80°C for flexing applications, OLFLEX® ROBOT F1 US/CSA consists of flexible bare copper conductors, polymer insulation, non-friction tape, overall tinned copper braid shield, and oil-, abrasion-, and spark-resistant polyurethane elastomer jacket. Cable is suited for multi-axis robots, welding robots, and manipulators as well as to connect rotating and tilting tables.

Cable Harnesses suit automation and robotic equipment.

Aved Electronics, Inc.
Lowell, MA 01851-2729
May 10, 2005 Custom Cable Harnesses are manufactured to specification with regard to flexibility and cycling, exposure to chemicals and harsh environments, signal and power requirements, and connector types. Featuring 100% electrical and mechanical testing, units are UL/CSA approved and can be fabricated from 4–30 ga wire with virtually any type of positive locking connector and quick-disconnect. Harnesses support low signal loss applications down to 1 ohm and systems up to 6,000 V.

Dress Packs provide power, data, and media to robots.

Leoni Tailer-Made Cable
Troy, MI 48084
Oct 21, 2002 Fully-assembled Dress Packs, or umbilicals are protective polyurethane (PUR) jackets, which include components in any combination of hoses, control cables, and power cables. Hoses carry water, air, or oil. Electrical cables provide power to transformer/weld gun. Umbilicals allow user to protect entire cabling system from abrasion, weld sparks, and bending stress during robot operation. Posts, brackets, boots, and umbilical absorb kinetic energy generated by robot and welding operations.
