Robots target 40-300 ton injection molding machines.

Dri-Air Industries, Inc.
East Windsor, CT 06088
May 06, 2009 Accommodating various tools and parts, 61-91 G series robots feature strip forward design of up to 600 mm that prevents interference of strip stoke with machine hoppers, feeders, and blenders. It includes beam-mounted control cabinet, minimizing floor space, as well as SCP control pendant with touchscreen for simplified programming and 3-position safety switch allowing left- or right-handed operation. Units also include digital AC servos with encoders on 3 axes.

FANUC Robotics America, Inc.
Rochester Hills, MI 48309 3253
Jul 09, 2008 Offering payloads from 20-70 kg, 6-axis M-710iC/50 SE FoundryPRO Robot is coated with epoxy and features IP67 protection. Wrist has protective covers to withstand high-pressure washing, while base of robot purges air to avoid vapor entrance. Providing 1,360-3,110 mm reach, robot mounts to floor, ceiling, angle, and wall. Compact size and ability to flip over and work behind itself maximizes flexibility for work cell design.

Robotic System is suited for PET blow-molded bottle handling.

Motion Controls Robotics
Fremont, OH 43420
Jun 25, 2007 Robotic SUBTA (Stand Up Bottle Take Away) enables in-line automated PET bottle handling and unloading for coating, leak checking, case packing, and bulk palletizing. For larger mold machines, it uses FANUC M-6iB or M-16iB robot. System grabs and sets bottles on conveyor standing up, acting as takeaway unit. With ability to handle any mold configuration (single/double row), product uses angled and/or tapered bottles and includes operator pendant for recipe adjustments and error reporting.

Jun 16, 2005 Five-axis SR Mate 100iB is available as integrated option on Roboshot SiB 55- and 110-ton machines. Part removal stroke of 0.5 sec/27.5 in. matches with Roboshot's clamp cycle of 1.6 sec and injection acceleration of 0-300 mm/sec in 27 ms. Robot offers payload capacity of 11 lb with extracting stroke of 20.4 in. for parts and 14.6 in. for runners, and lifting stroke of 27.5 in. for parts and runners. Anti-collision protection helps eliminate end-of-arm or mold damage.

Foundry Robots withstand harsh operating environments.

KUKA Robotics Corp.
Clinton Township, MI 48036
Apr 20, 2005 Suited for foundry, die casting, and forging applications, robots are offered in 11 floor-mount models that handle payloads from 16–500 kg as well as 6 shelf-mount models rated for payloads from 16–210 kg. Each mechanical model can be configured in dozens of variations. With forearms and IP 67 rated wrists coated with corrosion-resistant and heat-reflecting finish, robots can operate continuously in environments up to 100°C and have 3,700 mm reach.

Shelf Mount, 6-Axis Robots are used for injection molding.

KUKA Robotics Corp.
Clinton Township, MI 48036
Jan 10, 2005 Designed for top loading and unloading of IMMs, KSâ„¢ Series has low-profile design that reduces ceiling height requirements on IMMs up to 1,200 tons. Downward working envelope promotes flexibility and reduces cycle times. KR 16, 30, and 60 models are offered with payloads to 60 kg and vertical reach for part removal to 1,800 mm. Robots can also be used on die-casting machines and machine tools for part loading and unloading, palletizing, deburring, and part marking.

Robots feature servo control and color LCD touch screen.

Batson, Louis P., Inc.
Greenville, SC 29608
Jan 04, 2002 IT Series robots can be mounted on injection molding machines from 50 to 550 tons with vertical stroke requirements of 650 to 1000 mm. Traverse stroke ranges between 1200 and 1500 mm, and payload ranges between 10 and 20 lbs. ITW Series robots have telescoping arms, and can be mounted on 50-850 tons with vertical stroke requirements of 700 to 1700 mm. Traverse stroke ranges between 1200 and 2000 mm, and payload ranges between 10 and 27 lbs.
