Apr 11, 2002 Model 7090 1x16 optical switches route single signal to 16 DUTs or 16 instruments. They switch optical signals in 1290 to 1650 nm range and use single mode fibers with FC/SPC and FC/APC connectors. All Model 7090 cards are compatible with company's GPIB-programmable Model 7001 and 7002 switch mainframes. Switches can be used in combination with Model 7090 1 x 4 and 1 x 8 optical versions, plus DC and RF switching cards, for hybrid test configurations.

It also provides switching of optical signals among several instruments, a single instrument between multiple devices, or combination of both. When used in company's existing switching platforms, it helps automate tests of laser diodes and related optoelectronic devices, and allows optical measurement processes to be integrated with electrical testing.
