Jul 21, 2004 Optically-clear, ANGSTROMBONDŽ AB9053 is suited for bonding lenses, prisms, and quartz windows. Acrylic polymer has low refractive index of 1.41, offers UV cure in as little as 1 sec, and withstands temperatures up to 200°C. Supplied in 3 cc syringes, adhesive will bond to glass, ceramic, plastics, and most metals.

Epoxy suits opto-electronic assembly applications.

Electronic Materials, Inc.
Breckenridge, CO 80424 8817
Oct 22, 2002 Silica-filled OPTOCAST 3421 single component adhesive is UV/heat cureable. It exhibits low shrinkage on cure (0.4%, linear) and is ionically clean (max ionic content rated at 15 ppm total Na + K+ Cl8). Result on cure is 85/85 (85°C/85% relative humidity) with 50°C DI water soak resistance. Epoxy has flexural and tensile strengths of 7,000 and 15,000 psi, respectively, and D Hardness rated at 91 (min).

Sep 04, 2002 Suitable for optical bonding, TRA-BOND LX10085 one-part adhesive allows users to take as much time as necessary to make critical alignments, then sets in seconds when exposed to ultraviolet light. Solvent free system meets Federal Specification MIL-A-3920 for optical adhesives and provides optical bonding to glass surfaces, metals, fiberglass, and glass filled plastics. It is suited for military, aerospace, and commercial optics.

Low-Shrink Adhesives provide doublet and lens bonding.

Dymax Corp.
Torrington, CT 06790
Mar 27, 2002 High-clarity, UV/visible light-curing adhesives offer viscosities from 300 to 25,000 cP and elongation from 120 to 175%. Fiber-optic adhesives include OP-52 medium-viscosity grade and OP-54 low-viscosity, wicking grade for butt bonding, bundling, and splitting. OP-18 may be peeled off like tape, and OP-19 and OP-19G are water soluble grades. Adhesives cure in seconds and offer moisture resistance, low outgassing, and resistance to thermal excursions.

Lens Bonding Adhesives are optically clear.

Nov 28, 2001 Lens assembly adhesives for precision bonding, mounting, laminating, and fixturing applications have good adhesion to lens construction materials and to most metal, coated or painted frames and holders. Applications include cameras, microscopes, as well as eyeglass and sunglass lenses. Special UV blocking grades are available that adhere to PVA, CR-39, and CAP. These flexible lens bonders provide UV/visible protection to 410 nm.
