Objective Lens images 8 mm deep into biological samples.

Objective Lens images 8 mm deep into biological samples.

Olympus Europa Holding GmbH    Hamburg 20097  Germany
Apr 30, 2012 With 8 mm working distance, 0.9 NA, and correction collar, XLSLPLN25XSVMP SCALEVIEW 25x objective lens enables deep imaging of tissues without requiring potentially damaging micro-dissections. Product works with SCALEVIEW-A2 clearing reagent and enables crisp, clear imaging of structures, such as neurons. When used with FluoView FV1000MPE multiphoton microscope, lens lets users obtain complete system that avoids occurrence of artifacts due to slicing.

Mar 20, 2012 Using confocal laser scanning or multiphoton microscope, plan-apochromatic 20x/1.0 VIS-IR Objective Lens makes it possible to acquire 3D images of nerve cells down to depths of 5.6 mm in intact tissue. This permits visualization of branches of nerve cells and imaging of connections. Lens has been redesigned for clearing method known as Scale. Water-based reagent transforms sheath substance of nerve cells into transparent matrix without impairing signals from fluorescent marker and tracer substances.

Dec 27, 2011 Featuring working distance of 4 mm, XLPLN25XSVMP SCALEVIEW 25x Objective Lens is optimised to match refractive index properties of SCALEVIEW-A2 clearing agent, which renders samples nearly translucent while preserving fluorescent signals, to produce maximum image quality, sharpness, and brightness. SCALEVIEW integrates with Olympus's FluoView FV1000MPE multiphoton microscopes and FV10-ASW software v3.1, providing power to visualize 3D structures in morphologically intact tissue.

Custom Objective Lenses support 2-photon microscopy.

Navitar Inc.    Rochester, NY 14623
Sep 06, 2011 Able to meet need for working distances from 0.3-30 mm, apochromatic objectives are customized with high numerical apertures and long working distances for use with various sample sizes and applications. Lenses are also tailored to function at wavelengths from visible light at 390-750 nm to near infrared (NIR) at 700-1,400 nm. Depending on type of studies being done, 2-photon microscopy systems may also be modified for aqueous, oil, and vacuum research environments.

Olympus Europa Holding GmbH    Hamburg 20097  Germany
Jun 15, 2011 Model UPLSAPO30xS objectives feature 30x magnification and NA of 1.05, while UPSLAPO60xS units offer 60x magnification and NA of 1.30, allowing for imaging of live samples using fluorescence, confocal laser scanning, and multiphoton excitation. Minimizing refractive index mismatch and spherical aberration, units help capture high-resolution images of living samples, even deep into cells and tissues. Both have correction collar that can be adjusted to reduce spherical aberration even further.

Objective Lenses handle head-on and tilted angles of incidence.

Edmund Optics    Barrington, NJ 08007
May 28, 2008 With transmitted wavefront distortion of ¼-wave, peak-to-valley, TECHSPEC® High Performance ReflX(TM) Objectives feature numerical aperture of 0.28, working distance of more than 23 mm, and focal length of more than 13 mm. Tapered mechanical design allows use at angles of incidence up to 45°, while curved spider leg mounts eliminate diffraction effects in image plane that can occur with straight legs. Choice of coatings allow lenses to cover wavelength ranges from deep UV to 11 mm into IR.

UV Microscope Objective has numerical aperture of 0.90.

Special Optics, Inc.    Wharton, NJ 07885
May 28, 2008 UV microscope objective provides 0.28 micron spot imaging at wavelength of 248 nm and 0.41 micron spot imaging at wavelength of 365 nm. Featuring effective focal length of 5.5 mm and field of view of 100 microns, it is diffraction limited with less than 0.07 waves RMS wave front distortion over entire field of view.

Jul 31, 2003 Optimized for confocal microscopy and depth imaging of glycerol-embedded specimens, PL APO 63x 1.3 Glycerol HCX CS (Confocal Scanning) offers imaging performance on and below surface of specimens matching closely to refractive index of glycerol. Product minimizes spherical aberrations and offers working distance of 280 µm. Apochromatic confocal scanning correction assures precise registration of focal planes and fluorescence emissions across visible spectrum.

Jun 04, 2003 Violet 405 nm diode laser enables fluorescence excitation of classical nuclear stains, such as DAPI and Hoechst®, and also covers CFP and GFP2, components of FRET pairs CFP/YFP and GFP2/YFP. Lambda-blue objectives offer color correction in blue-green emission range of fluorescent proteins. In conjunction with laser coupling optics, exact registration of excitation and emission planes in confocal microscope is ensured.
