Integrating functionality of both attenuator and optical power meter in one unit, Model 5501 provides measurement range of 2.5-65 dB and attenuating wavelength from 1,260-1,650 nm at accuracy of ±0.8 dB. Calibrated wavelengths include 1,310, 1,490, 1,550, and 1,625 nm. Equipped with LCD screen, handheld unit displays wavelength, input and output power, current attenuation, and selected step size and absolute/relative attenuation value simultaneously.

Fiber optic attenuator module can automate optical switches and fiber optic attenuators with complete plug-and-play modularity and control options. Product can be used with single mode fiber and can support up to 8 optical attenuators in single 1-wide GP750 module. Max attenuation level can be specified up to 40 dB of attenuation, and can also be specified for narrowband or broadband use in 1,290-1,330 nm, 1,530-1,570 nm and/or 1,570-1,610nm wavelength ranges.

Rugged model A0610001 displays attenuation values in either dB or dBm and available calibrated wavelengths include 1,310, 1,490, 1,550, and 1,625 nm. Supporting operating time of 40 hr when fully charged, device features auto-off function and restores attenuating value automatically. It is designed for on-line testing and maintenance of fiber optic systems as well as digital communication system devices such as PHD or SDH, or systems using analog modulation such as CATV.
