String Combiners target utility scale power plants.

String Combiners target utility scale power plants.

Bentek    San Jose, CA 95131
Oct 21, 2013 Designed specifically for utility-scale and large commercial solar power plant applications, UTS Utility Scale Series is available in grounded, ungrounded, and bipolar configurations. All versions are ETL listed at both 600 and 1,000 Vdc. Product line includes options for up to 32 input circuits as well as 200, 250, and 360 A load-break disconnects. In addition, 90°C output compression lugs allow for either copper or aluminum conductors.

Beam Splitters and Combiners suit CO2 lasers up to 100 W.

Laser Research Optics    Providence, RI 02904
Oct 15, 2012 Designed for engraving, marking, and scribing lasers, CO2 Laser Beam Splitters facilitate power measurements and other dual uses by reflecting percentage of beam. Combining 10.6 µm and 0.633 µm wavelengths, Laser Beam Combiners permit alignment and focusing by providing visual light beam. Made from ZnSe with various coatings to achieve polarization states, splitters permit up to 50% transmission, ±3% of reflectance while combiners allow 98.7% light transmission. Both come in ¾–3 in. OD sizes.

Laser Research Optics    Providence, RI 02904
Aug 31, 2012 Laser Research CO2 Beam Steering Optics include beam combiners, beam splitters, ZnSe output couplers or front mirrors, silicon and molybdenum turning mirrors, silicon and copper phase retardation reflectors, and germanium end- and zero phase-reflectors. Optimized for 10.6 µm, products come in 0.6-3.0 in. dia sizes with reflectivities up to 99%. Output couplers provide reflectivity tolerances to ±1%, while phase retarders and reflectors come in various thicknesses with different coatings.

Current Sensing Combiner is Ul-1741-listed for up to 1,000 Vdc.

SolarBOS, Inc.    Livermore, CA 94551
Jul 16, 2012 Current sensing combiner uses Hall-effect sensors to measure current flowing through each fuse holder, allowing detection of underperforming circuits. Product also records busbar temperatures for detecting loose connections, and provides LED indication. Communicating via RS-485/Modbus, unit can be configured with disconnects, contactors, surge suppressors, and/or voltage transducers. It is available in 8-, 12-, and 16-circuit versions at 600 and 1,000 Vdc and up to 250 Adc.

Aeroflex    Irvine, CA 92618
Feb 24, 2011 Used in conjunction with signal generator and RF digitizer modules, 3065A RF combiner operates from 250 MHz to 6 GHz and addresses needs of RF test system engineers working in cellular handset or RFIC and component manufacturing. Dual-input module, in addition to providing summed signal outputs, supports various combinations of input and output switched path configurations to enable testing of single- and multi-port RF devices without need to alter connections.

Mini-Circuits    Brooklyn, NY 11235
Feb 01, 2011 Covering frequency range of 250-6,000 MHz, Model ZN4PD1-63W+ is suitable for GPS, GSM, DCS, and PCS frequency bands, in addition to WiFi, Bluetooth, and 802.11a uses. Four-way, in-phase splitter and combiner features insertion loss of 1.0 dB above splitter loss up to 4 GHz, typical amplitude unbalance of 0.2 dB, and phase unbalance of 2°, making unit suited for parallel path/multichannel systems. Packaged in 3.5 x 4.5 in. enclosure, device includes built-in SMA connectors.

Agilent Technologies, Inc.    Santa Clara, CA 95051
Dec 03, 2009 Intended for cell biologists, Model MLC400 brings complex monolithic optic design technology and fiber coupling capability into complete laser illumination solution. Factory-aligned optical structure will not drift out of alignment due to environmental factors such as temperature changes or vibration. Configured with acousto-optic tunable filter as well as DPSS and diode lasers at 405, 488, 561, and 640 nm, unit is suited for TIRF, FRET, FLIM, FRAP, FISH, and PALM applications.

Combiners offer up to 5 solid state laser lines.

Andor Technology Ltd.    South Windsor, CT 06074
Dec 22, 2008 With operating visible spectrum ranging from 400-650 nm, ALC-500 series of solid state laser combiners suit applications such as photo-activation, confocal and TIRF microscopy. With multi-port switch, units can be used as core components for multi-modal microscopy systems.

Beam Splitter/Combiner operates at either 1,310 or 1,550 nm.

API Nanotronics Corp.    Hauppauge, NY 11788
Sep 12, 2008 Nanofabricated directly on thin glass substrates using proprietary processes, polarizing beam splitter/combiners offer extinction ratio of transmission channel greater than 30 dB and reflection channel greater than 25 dB. They can be produced on BK7, SBL7, or similar substrates with thicknesses ranging from 0.2-1.6 mm and sizes from 0.5 x 0.5 to 15 x 15 mm. Featuring operating range of -40 to 80°C, units are suited for telecom and scientific equipment such as Raman amplifiers.

Laser Combiner targets microscopy applications.

Agilent Technologies, Inc.    Santa Clara, CA 95051
Aug 04, 2008 Developed to work with laser-based tools in microscopy market, Multi-Wavelength Laser Combiner provides 19 wavelength options that can be used in 3- to 8-channel configurations. Combiner is based on complex monolithic optic design, which incorporates many individual optical components into one monolithic structure. Since optics are bonded into pre-aligned structure, they do not drift out of alignment due to vibration or fluctuations in ambient temperature.
