J412's electrical and thermal outputs are 845 kW and 897 kW, while J416's outputs are 1,127 kW and 1,195 kW. Electrical efficiency is 42.7% for the J412 and 42.8% for the J416, with minimum methane number of 85. Engines feature TecJet(TM) gas-dosing valve for control accuracy and combustion system that provides mechanical efficiency and fuel flexibility.

Main structure gives hydrodynamic bearings optimum geometrical environment. Roller-guided piston is not subjected to slap or radial stress, and engine block has no negative effects on other components or vehicle. Exhaust and transmission connections are identical to conventional engines.
