Gas Engine offers electrical efficiency of 49%.

Gas Engine offers electrical efficiency of 49%.

GE Co.    Southfield, MI 48034
Jun 24, 2014 Intended for 60 Hz North American segment, Jenbacher J920 FleXtra Gas Engine features 5-min start-up time and provides enough energy to power more than 6,000 homes. Two-stage turbocharging engine offers 8.6 MW capacity with total efficiency of more than 90% for combined heat and power applications. Rapid start/stop cycles and operating flexibility make engine suitable for power generation and district heating as well as decentralized power supply in remote, hot, or high-altitude regions.

Gas Engine targets 60 Hz applications running at 1,800 rpm.

GE Energy    Atlanta, GA 30339
Dec 20, 2006 Producing 1.426 MW, Jenbacher J420 GS Gas Engine features Miller timing combustion system, spark plugs rated for up to 15,000 hr, and swirl-optimized, 4-valve cylinder head rated for 30,000 hr. Thermal output is 5,700 MTBU/hr when fueled by natural gas and 5,400 MBTU/hr with biogas. Engine provides electrical efficiency of 40.8% and total efficiency up to 86.6%.

Supercharger is adaptable to all automotive engine designs.

Eaton Corp.    Southfield, MI 48037
Nov 02, 2006 Twin Vortices Series (TVS(TM)) Roots-type supercharger allows automakers to use smaller compressors to create optimal engine boost. In addition to scalable design, unit features 4-lobe rotors as well as high-flow inlet and outlet ports that promote thermal efficiency, which translates to increased volumetric capacity at higher RPMs.

Gas Engines serve 800 kW to 1.2 MW output range.

GE Energy    Atlanta, GA 30339
Apr 19, 2006 J412 GS and J416 GS Jenbacher Type 4 gas engines are available at 50 Hz/1,500 rpm and 60 Hz/1,200 rpm. J412's electrical and thermal outputs are 845 kW and 897 kW, while J416's outputs are 1,127 kW and 1,195 kW. Electrical efficiency is 42.7% for the J412 and 42.8% for the J416, with minimum methane number of 85. Engines feature TecJet(TM) gas-dosing valve for control accuracy and combustion system that provides mechanical efficiency and fuel flexibility.

OHV Engine provides max output of 13.5 hp.

MCE-5 Development    LYON   France
Jul 12, 2005 Designed to replace fixed compression engine blocks, Variable Compression Ratio Model MCE-5 integrates power transmission and compression ratio control. Main structure gives hydrodynamic bearings optimum geometrical environment. Roller-guided piston is not subjected to slap or radial stress, and engine block has no negative effects on other components or vehicle. Exhaust and transmission connections are identical to conventional engines.
