Completely enclosed in aluminum housing available with corrosion-resistant and food-safe finishes, NEMA C-Face Mount Spring Set Brake mounts between standard motor and gearbox to provide power-off holding in 4 sizes for 56C-213TC NEMA motor frames. Multiple facings are engaged under spring pressure to hold output shaft. Air pressure of 65 psi is applied to overcome spring pressure and disengage brake, while additional springs between brake facings ensure complete disengagement.

Spring-applied UNIBRAKE® AC Motor Brakes include external manual release lever that allows driven load to be moved without energizing motor. Designed for motors that are modified to accept brake mounted to motor's non-driven end, Single C-Face units are available from 3-15 ft-lb. Performing coupling function between standard C-Face motors and C-Face gear reducers, Double C-Face brakes are available from 3-10 ft-lb. Coil voltage ranges from 115/230, 60 Hz to 230/460, 50 Hz.
