Arc Brake suits electromechanical applications.SEPAC, Inc.
Elmira, NY 14903
May 19, 2006
Measuring 5 in. long, 30-Degree Arc Brake supplies 90 lb-ft torque, is spring applied, and electrically released. It has 4 stationary inner disks with friction pucks and 5 rotating outer disks. Steel magnet body and spring loaded armature plate attach to stationary surface. Energized coil compresses spring and attracts armature plate, allowing disks to rotate. Brake is also available as bi-stable, pulse operated brake or power-on brake.

Aug 20, 2004 Available in Quick-Mount versions, MagnaShear brakes come filled with oil and ready to mount, with no disassembly required. Brake's fan acts as quill clamping device, while pilotless design allows slide-on shaft mounting and brake self-centering. Brakes avoid heat and wear by operating friction surfaces in constantly circulating oil. Units are available in 9 spring-set torque ratings from 6–86 lb-ft and have max KE ranges from 7,967–26,500 lb-ft. |
Enclosed Brakes provide quiet-running operation.Stearns Div., Rexnord Corp.
Milwaukee, WI 53202 6002
Jan 15, 2003 Series 321 includes 6 armature-actuated, electric, disc brakes with enclosures that reduce noise and protect against hostile environments. Brakes decelerate or hold inertial loads when voltage to brake coil is disconnected. They feature asbestos-free friction discs and require no adjustments. Low-voltage design operates in applications that are susceptible to weak battery or brownout. Static torque ratings are 3, 5, 7, 15, 35, and 50 lb-in. |
 Spring-Set Brakes provide fail-safe holding.Warner Electric
