Plastic Bearings eliminate magnetic distortion.KMS Bearings, Inc.
Anaheim, CA 92807
Sep 10, 2009
Suited for applications that require non-magnetic, non-metallic solution, these plastic bearings feature glass balls, polyester plastic races, and urethane tire mounted to outer race, which minimizes noise and absorbs vibration. Able to run without lubrication, these units can tolerate harsh environments and underwater applications. Some uses include medical MRI, medical X-ray, security X-ray, and CAT scan equipment.

Ball Bearings suit small diameter shafts.MRC Bearings
Kulpsville, PA 19443
Mar 31, 2006
Offered in stainless steel, inch-size R-Series resists corrosion encountered in demanding or harsh operating environments. Single-row, radial conrad-type bearings feature uninterrupted raceway grooves and conformity between balls and raceways to accommodate high thrust loads. Available in open, shielded, and sealed models, bearings offer bore sizes from 1/8-1½ in., basic radial dynamic load ratings from 70-3,780 lbf, and basic radial static load ratings from 27-2,650 lbf.

Ball Bearings target medical and dental handpieces.Pacamor Kubar Bearings
Troy, NY 12180
Dec 03, 2004 Radial Ball Bearings feature corrosion-resistant 440C material and are available with various closures, including Teflon and stainless steel seal. Retainers are offered in autoclave-resistant Phenolic and Torlon, as well as standard crown and ribbon for less demanding applications. Full shoulder design prevents disassembly of bearing during handling and installation. Bearings are supplied lubricated with food-safe and autoclave-resistant grease. |
Spindle Bearings feature non-contacting seal.Barden Corp., The
Danbury, CT 06813
Sep 30, 2002 Sealed angular contact spindle bearings have non-contacting seal that helps retain lubricant and protects against premature failure caused by infiltration of contaminants. Non-contacting nature of design allows bearings to operate at running speeds up to 1.5 M dN without any impedance normally caused by seal interference. Bearings are offered in high speed (small ball) and standard (large ball) versions with 15° or 25° contact angle.

Machine-Tool Bearing provides high corrosion resistance.Barden Corp., The
Danbury, CT 06813
Sep 25, 2002 X-Life Ultra utilizes rings made from Cronidur 30 low-nitrogen steel, ceramic (silicon nitride) balls with phenolic cage, thermally stable grease, and integral seal options. Bearing provides 10x longer life when compared to conventional 52100 and 440 hybrid ceramic bearings. Standard bore diameters range from 20 to 120 mm. |
Sealed Bearings suit high speed applications.Torrington Co., The
Torrington, CT 06790
Aug 12, 2002 Fafnir® True High-Speed Sealed Bearings (THSS) feature non-contact dynamic seals which retain grease inside and keep contamination out. CERBEC® ceramic ball complement decreases friction in rolling contact area and lowers centrifugal forces. Integrated design helps prevent degradation of lubricant viscosity that could otherwise occur at temperatures above 160°F. Precision tolerances at ABEC9 (ISO P2) levels and 15° contact angle increase spindle rigidity. |
Bearings improve machine tool performance.Torrington Co., The
Torrington, CT 06790
Jul 10, 2002 Fafnir® THSS True High-Speed Sealed bearings are angular contact ball bearings designed for high spindle speeds. Non-contact dynamic seals keep contamination out while minimizing running torque, and effectively retaining grease inside bearing. Fafnir WearEverâ„¢ bearings resist contamination-induced surface damage. They feature CERBEC® ceramic ball and steel that resists wear debris and hard contaminants for maximum service life. |
Bearings suit space, weight, and load constraint applications.RBC Bearings
Fairfield, CT 06430
Jul 02, 2002 Thin-section ball bearings have bore diameter greater than 4 times radial cross section. Bore sizes range from 1 to 40 in. in 7 cross sections from 3/16 to 1 in. Bearings are also available in metric sizes and in radial, angular, and 4-point contact designs. User may specify seals, separators, and materials such as SAE 52100 steel, 440C stainless steel, and 17-4 stainless steel. Bearings are offered in precision classes ABEC-1 through ABEC-7. |
Hybrid Bearings have rolling elements 40% lighter than steel.SKF USA, Inc.
Kulpsville, PA 19443
May 06, 2002
Hybrid bearings, including angular-contact ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearing, combine steel raceways with silicon-nitride balls. Dimensionally interchangeable with ISO dimensioned bearings, hybrid bearings provide resistance to wear. They can operate without oil, using process fluid as lubricant. Silicon nitride balls have 50% higher modulus of elasticity than steel, increasing bearing stiffness.
