Black Oxide Finish for Aluminum Parts has 30 min process time.Birchwood Casey
Eden Prairie, MN 55344 2138
Nov 29, 2011
Accommodating manufacturers that require same-day black finishing of small lots, mini BK-LC products enable safe, in-house blackening of parts and achieve durable satin black finish. LUMICLAD® process, which utilizes one heated dip-tank and does not require electrolytic current, forms black oxide coating on aluminum. Process works on all cast and wrought aluminum alloys, forming smooth, black, 1.5 micron thick finish that adheres tightly to aluminum substrate without any rub-off.

Based on short chain fluoropolymer technology, APFS-70S and APFS-71S are considered to be non-PFOA contributing. Products optimize wetting and leveling characteristics of paints, inks, coatings, and polishes at low loading levels. They are especially effective on difficult-to-wet substrates such as plastics, oily or waxy surfaces, and silicone or fluoropolymer treated fabrics.
