Super-Heat ™ 502-676 Magnesium Oxide Ceramic Crucibles are manufactured with full-fired, 99% pure material used in processing high-temperature refractory metals, slags, and superconductor compounds. Products feature high-density, fine-grain microstructure with open porosity of less than 1% and average density of 3.45 g/cc. They are available in stock and custom shapes with up to 7 in. dia, 12 in. length, and wall thickness of 0.2 in. maximum.

Available in 6 sizes with wire diameters from .020-.050 in., Alumina Coated Evaporation Baskets are internally heated crucibles that permit vacuum evaporation of several metals simultaneously, and maintain molten metals evaporants as induction propelled spinning ball within cavity. Units completely evaporate most materials such as gold, nickel, palladium, and silver without loss to chamber. Inside depths range from .225-.975 in. and top IDs range from .150-.900 in.

VX Crucibles operate under severe conditions including temperatures up to 1,450ºC and extreme thermal shock conditions. They offer thermal expansion of 6 x 10-7/°C at 1,000°C, low specific gravity, low thermal conductivity, and high electrical resistivity. MgO ceramic is full-fired, 99% pure material with high density (3.45 g/cc) fine-grain microstructure. It offers alternative to alumina because it exhibits better chemical resistance and is inert. Crucibles are available in both shapes up to 7 in. dia, 12 in. long, and with wall thickness of 0.2 in. |
