Apr 01, 2008 Slideways Retrofit Plastic Wear Components can be reverse engineered from existing drawings and custom machined from various types of plastic to duplicate existing parts or provide users with material upgrades. They provide tolerances to ±0.0005 in. and surface finishes to 16 rms, depending on material. Components can be machined from oil-filled nylon, MD-nylon, acetal, glass filled PTFE, UHMW, and UHMW-HT. Applications include processing and packaging equipment as well as conveyors.

May 30, 2007 Available in single and dual lane configurations, custom-engineered UHMW Chain Guides accommodate all standard ANSI and metric roller-, side flexing-, and link chains. Units eliminate need for lubrication systems and noise associated with metal-on-metal. Manufactured in curved and straight designs and machined with any radius, wear-resistant guides meet FDA guidelines 21CFR178.2010 and 21CFR177.1520 and are USDA compliant.

Dec 12, 2005 SLIDEWAYS Plastic Belt Supports, made from UHMW or HT-UHMW, feature low-friction, wear-resistant surface over which plastic modular belts may glide. Providing non-metallic alternatives for applications requiring frequent wash-down, modular conveyor supports and guides can be made from various FDA/USDA-compliant thermoplastics. Products work with belts from 3.5-72 in. wide with multiple links or lanes, urethane round belts, or flat belts.

Nov 19, 2002 Extruded PTFE wear strips and conveyor guides feature U-Channel, Guide Rail, J-Leg, Full Round, Half Round, Snap-On and Chain Guide styles. The 1¼ in. profiles, in standard 5 and 10 ft lengths, operate over -350 to +500°F. Naturally slippery, guides reduce stagger and noise, absorb vibration, and are approved for direct food contact. Nonflammable and chemically inert, strips are suitable for processing, packaging, and conveying applications.

Jun 24, 2002 Oil-Filled Chain and Belt Guides are fully impregnated with FDA-approved lubricant and can eliminate need for external lubrication, depending upon load and curve radius. They permit chains to run at speeds up to 400 fpm. Featuring 1- and 2-piece curves in standard 18, 24, and 30 in. radii, and straight wear strips from 2 to 16 in. wide, guides provide 0.16 coefficient of friction. They accommodate stainless steel and plastic, side-flexing chain and thermoplastic belts.
