It retracts completely and can also be adjusted to retract tool partially to suit operator needs. To help reduce operator fatigue and optimize efficiency, unit keeps tools at ergonomic height. Product, offered in 1-3 lb and 3-6 lb capacities, also reduces chance of workpiece damage by keeping tool away when not in use. Cord length is 55".
