Rollomatic Incorporated offers the CNC148P4 super precision cylindrical grinding machine. Roughing and finishing are done in one operation, simultaneously. The shank guiding system and the simultaneous 2-wheel engagement allow length/diameter ratios up to 400 and diameters down to .001". The maximum capacity of the machine is ½" with 5/8" shank size. It is ideally suited for blank preparation which is a critical factor in obtaining optimum cutting tool geometry, especially on step tools and drills. Precise back tapers, step shoulders, pre-pointing, facing, chamfering, etc. can be ground in one single set-up using automatic loading/unloading.
