Made of non-woven nylon impregnated with abrasive grain and smear-free resin, Norton Rapid Prep surface conditioning discs are suited for surface finishing applications across industries from aerospace and transportation to energy and metal fabrication. Burr-Rx™ products include power tube brushes, small-diameter wheels, Bore-Rx™ internal deburring tools, mini-disc brushes, and banded end brushes in addition to large-diameter wheel brushes and shell-mill-holder disc brushes. Black nylon filaments are co-extruded with engineered ceramic abrasive grain, and brushes are suited for deburring inconel, stainless steel, and titanium. Assortment of filament configurations and fill densities enables use on any material.

At one end of Tri-Ten U-Series system, parts are placed on magnetic conveyor that carries them through first offset planetary deburring head where three 10 in. fiber abrasive disc brushes deburr upward facing surface. Parts then pass through second planetary head before being captured by turn-over conveyor that flips parts. After both sides are deburred, they are demagnetized, and pass under rinse and air knife. System is also equipped with mist collection system and coolant filtration system.

Measuring 24 x 24 x 48 in., PEP system produces consistently uniform results. It completely removes burrs from aluminum extrusion profiles, regardless of work piece geometry, and lateral surface finish is not affected. Operator clamps sample part in place and manually feeds part across face of 8 in. abrasive filament brush. When part carrier makes contact with limit switch, included 2 hp, 1,750 rpm electric motor reverses direction for return feed against brush.

White/cream in color, 55 lb/ft³ SM is formulated to run clean and works in die cast operations. Product will leave bright, polished finish when used with proper compound. Tan in color, 55 lb/ft³, SY-1 general-purpose deburring media leaves finish capable of being plated or polished. This product is capable of replacing general-purpose plastic media applications.
