Near field communications (NFC) tag Series BCM20203 enables users to establish connection and initiate data transfer between 2 devices when they are brought within few centimeters of one another. Since transmission range is so close, NFC-enabled communication is inherently secure. Operating at 13.56 MHz, NFC tag transfers data up to 424 Kbps and is powered only through energy harvested from reader on other side of connection. On-chip non-volatile memory allows for multiple read/write cycles.
