Combining pattern generator and pulse function arbitrary noise generator, Model 81150A can test analog, digital, and mixed signal devices. Device facilitates debugging, characterization, and compliance tests, and supports various bus standards, including Flexray, with 3 level signals, initialization sequences, and long patterns. Pattern generator supports each development phase for sine waves up to 240 MHz, 14-bit and 2 GSa/s arbitrary waveforms, and PRBS up to 231.

Including 2-channel, 10-bit, 20 MS/sec, 2 MHz oscilloscope; 2-channel spectrum-analyzer; and 3 MHz 8-bit arbitrary-waveform/standard-function generator with 8 digital I/O lines, CircuitGear CGR-101(TM) also functions as network analyzer, noise generator and PWM output source. Oscilloscope, generator, and digital I/O are operated from custom open-source Tcl/Tk software, and device is also LabView(TM)-compatible, and it can also be controlled by serial-port-driving software.

Providing versatile waveforms for pulse generation as well as noise generation for stress testing, Model 81150A offers insight into devices and designs. Unit features modulation capabilities up to 10 MHz and more than 80 measurement types. Accurate signals test device, not source, with intrinsic jitter of 8 ps rms at any frequency. Various stress tests can be achieved by adjusting crest factor, an indicator of signal quality using peak-to-peak and root mean square voltages.
