Housed in 4 x 4 mm, 24-pin QFN24 package, ATR0881 IC is designed for use in combined HD-DVD/Blu-ray, DVD, and CD drives. It has blue, red, and infrared outputs for connecting 3 laser diodes. Gain of each of device's 5 channels can be individually programmed using serial interface, which can also be used to set all parameters of integrated oscillator. Integrated frequency counter enables frequency deviation of less than ±5%.

Offered in Q-CW model for pulsing currents and CW model for direct currents, computer controlled LYDYA(TM) Drivers are able to control diodes, diode bars, and stacks. LYDYA shunt diodes safety system connects to diode terminals to short-circuit them when they are not being used or are not connected to driver, and protects them from reverse currents and transient effects. Housed in QFN24 package, ATR0885 contains 3 outputs, each of which can be used for connection of blue, DVD, or CD laser diodes with respective wavelengths of 405, 780, and 650 nm. Each output has separate voltage supply pin providing up to 8 V. Transimpedance amplifier is integrated for automatic power control. Using 1 external resistor, frequency range from 200-500 MHz can be set for all outputs. Three additional resistors allow swing of up to 100 mA peak-to-peak for each output.
