Heat Recovery Systems reclaim energy from boiler blow down.

Cemline    Cheswick, PA 15024
Jul 27, 2012 Provided completely packaged, ready for use, and requiring only connection to services, Heat Recovery Systems use flash tank to separate flash steam from condensate collected from blowdown. Condensate runs through float and thermostatic trap and heat exchanger to recover energy and cool condensate before it is piped to drain or returned to boiler. Optional vent condenser further maximizes amount of energy that could potentially be recovered.

Boiler Blowdown Controller reduces water and energy consumption.

Electro-Chemical Devices, Inc.    Yorba Linda, CA 92887
Oct 10, 2011 Helping reduce plant operating costs and extend boiler life, automated Model 61 Boiler Blowdown Control System provides continuous control of surface blowdown rate to optimize commercial and industrial boiler water electrolytic conductivity. System includes CS10 conductivity sensor in rack mounted panel, sediment trap, sample cooler, temperature gauge, sample control valve, and safety relief valve. System operates from 0 to +100°C and 0-75 psig.

Apr 14, 2009 Featuring intelligent controller design, Model 61 BBS modulates blowdown control valve to allow maximum level of dissolved solids, regardless of load conditions, in order to maximize boiler maintenance efficiency. Plug-and-play system has modular design that includes 316 SS sediment trap and sample cooler, temperature gauge, sample control valve, and safety relief valve. Its 4-20 mA output may be configured as PID control output.

Spirax Sarco, Inc.    Blythewood, SC 29016
Dec 28, 2005 Pre-engineered Series BDHR recovers up to 95% of heat energy normally lost with conventional blowdown separators. Resulting condensate can be used to preheat boiler makeup water, while resulting flash steam can be used to heat deaerator tank. As systems recycle waste energy, they cool boiler blowdown to 140°F or less, acceptable for discharge to municipal wastewater systems. Centrifugal blowdown vessels come in 8 sizes from 8-26 in. with capacities from 100-100,000 lb/hr.

EXAIR Corporation    Cincinnati, OH 45249-1621
Aug 06, 2004 With no moving parts, Air Disk Window Blowoff keeps window of machines clear of coolant, chips, and debris, ensuring process and part visibility at all times. Compact disk delivers 360° airstream that blows out across entire window surface. Using proprietary airflow technology, disk ejects compressed air through thin-slotted ring nozzle. Peel and stick adhesive permanently bonds aluminum Air Disk to glass or polycarbonate surface.
