Made of recycled polyethylene terephthalate material, thermoform packaging promotes protection for LTO (Linear Tape Open) Ultrium 2, 3, and 4 cartridges during transport and handling. Packaging holds cartridges snugly in place during shipment and will not shred, preventing media contamination. Trays nest together to optimize floor space, and lift-up lid facilitates cartridge access. Cartridges hold up to 1.6 TB and suit midrange and enterprise server environments.

Offering 3.5 in. drive form factor and 8 mm media cassette, Advanced Intelligent Tape(TM) 5(AIT-5) drive features 400 GB capacity and sustained native transfer rate up to 24 MBps. With 2.6:1 data compression, AIT-5 format enables stored capacities up to 1.04 TB per cartridge and transfer rates to 225 GB/hr. It has magnetic resistive head, dynamic tracking, and WORM recording capabilities and is backwards read/write compatible with AIT-3, AIT-3Ex, and AIT-4 media.

TotalStorage® Enterprise Tape Media 3599 Models 011, 021, E11, and E21 can be ordered formatted to support IBM System Storage TS1120 Tape Drive Model E05. Format delivers rewritable cartridges and WORM cartridges, both available with either 500 or 100 GB native physical capacity. Labeled and initialized cartridges, with ability to specify color coded, volume serial number, are also available.
