May 15, 2006 Ultra-thin PureGain 400 erbium doped fiber amplifier module is designed to work within stringent space constraints found in transponder and line card applications. It can be used in pre-amp configuration, which enables high receiver sensitivity without trans-impedance amplifier, or booster configuration, which enables high launch power in advanced transmitter designs. Utilizing standard optical components, amplifier is compatible with Telcordia requirements.

Feb 01, 2006 DIN rail mounted Series 3060 features housing width of 10 mm, switching frequency of 1.5 kHz, and sensing range of 0-200 mm, depending on optical fibers used. Using 12-turn potentiometer with illuminated scale, operating distance can be adjusted between 20 and 200 mm. Switching output can be set to either light- or dark-ON directly on device. Available with both red and blue light, IP64-rated units are largely insensitive to environmental influences.

Sep 26, 2003 Leveraging diode-pumped erbium doped fiber technology, Broadband ASE (amplified spontaneous emission) sources and EDFAs (erbium doped fiber amplifiers) are packaged for test and measurement of photonics components in 1550 nm spectral region. Self-contained BBS-410 and BBS-430 sources generate broadband output as high as 25 mW. Fully-integrated FPA-410 and FPA-415 EDFAs feature signal gains of greater than 33 dB across C-band (1520–1560 nm).
