May 14, 2008 Supplied in 5 x 5 mm TQFN package, MAX2117 zero-IF (ZIF) tuner receives QPSK signals in 470-1,000 MHz range and downconverts them to baseband for demodulation. Unit is specifically designed for China's UHF-band multichannel multipoint distribution service (MMDS) systems and compatible with DVB-S demodulators. Defining characteristics include 8 dB noise figure and better than 25 dB adjacent-channel protection ratio. Operating from single, 3.3 V ±5% supply, solution consumes 330 mW.

Dual SCART operates from +3.3 and +12 V power supplies.

It integrates DirectDrive(TM) technology to prevent click-and-pop noise. Contained in 6 x 6 mm TQFN package, unit operates from 0 to +70°C and includes audio and video channels featuring input-source-selection multiplexers, input buffers, and output buffers. It consumes 70 mW of quiescent power and is controlled through I2C-compatible interface.

Also, it delivers 0 dBm linear output with 64-QAM signal, greater than -45 dBc of sideband suppression, and more than -36 dB EVM.
