Nov 06, 2013 Stocked in rod and plate, TECATRON® PPS is made from FDA-compliant resins and maintains chemical resistance and purity while exhibiting tensile strength of 15,000 psi, tensile modulus of 731,500 psi, and compressive modulus of 367,000 psi. Additional properties include flexural strength of 24,000 psi; flexural modulus of 622,000 psi; and compression strength 17,800 psi. These properties result in finished parts that are tough and resilient and facilitate machining by end users.

Oct 21, 2013 With Fortron® ICE Improved Crystallization Evolution Grades, injection molders that use hot molding systems, operating at temperatures greater than 275°F, can minimize cycle times and number of broken parts. Molders with cold injection units, operating at temperatures from 194–275°F, can achieve full crystallization. In addition to chemical and thermal resistance, semi-crystalline polymer offers high hardness and rigidity with low creep and moisture absorption.

This unreinforced grade is formulated to deliver long-term durability over life of components found in food handling applications, including conveyor systems for food processing. Exhibiting hydrolysis resistance as well as moisture absorption of <0.05%, product supports continuous use up to 329°F and offers chemical resistance at elevated temperatures.

Sep 17, 2007 Made with Fortron® polyphenylene sulfide, high-tenacity Diofort® is inherently flame-retardant and chemical resistant. It can be combined with glass, carbon, and other polymer fibers to yield blended fabrics. In addition to reinforcing hydraulic oil hoses in power steering systems where it reduces noise and vibration, product can be applied in fuel lines and charge-air coolers to provide resistance to high pressure and temperature while allowing flexibility.

Jun 16, 2005 Made with Fortron® PPS, monocomponent Staple Fibers are available in cut lengths of 0.25-6 in. with deniers from 2-3, tenacity of 4.0 g/denier, elongation of 50%, and less than 2% shrinkage at 170°C. Crimp levels range from uncrimped to 12 crimps/in. Fortron® linear PPS has continuous use temperature to 200°C and is inherently flame retardant. It withstands acids and bases from pH of 2-12 and is stable when exposed to oxidizing bleaches and organic solvents.

Jun 06, 2003 Fortron® MT linear polyphenylene sulfide grades can withstand repeated sterilization and resist hydrolysis and strong disinfectants, alkalis, and other chemical media. They are used to replace metal and for precision mechanical elements in drug delivery systems. Vectra® MT liquid crystal polymer grades offer stiffness, creep resistance, dimensional stability, and high flow in long, thin sections. They are thermal- and chemical-resistant and withstand numerous sterilization cycles.
