Modified so that they are essentially semi-rigid materials, Synres® 1000 Series mineral-filled polypropylene (PP) compounds exhibit thermal stability and resistance to environmental stress cracking. Characteristics include 35-65 Shore D Hardness, respective tensile strength yield and break ranges of 2,700-3,500 and 1,900-2,600 psi, and -76.0 to -32.0°F brittleness temperature. Compounds can be supplied in natural or pre-colored form in formulations tailored to customer requirements.

Available in compounds and masterbatches, Thermoplastic Starch and Polypropylene Blends provide physical properties comparable to virgin PP. Terraloy® BP-13020 ready-to-process compounds are blends of 25-30% TPS and 70-75% PP, of which 70-75% is recyclate. Terraloy® MB-13020 masterbatches have 35-50% TPS content and up to 50% recyclate. Both are suited for injection molded consumer products; extruded sheet, profiles, and tubing; and blow molded jars and bottles.

Hyperform® HPR reinforcing additives, available as free-flowing powder, provide processors with option for making high-performance polypropylene (PP) parts with lower weight. Intended primarily for automotive sector, Hyperform® HPR-803 fibers have aspect ratio of ~40:1 and natural color that reduces pigmentation requirements/usage. LNP(TM) Thermocomp(TM) specialty compounds are bio-based materials that use curau fiber and wood flour natural reinforcements. Comprised of polyamide-6 nylon reinforced with up to 20% curau fiber, LNP Thermocomp PX07444 can potentially be substituted for glass-filled nylon in specific applications. LNP Thermocomp MX07442 is polypropylene (PP) reinforced with 30% wood flour. Aimed at replacing wood, it is resistant to fungus and exhibits dimensional stability.

SABIC® STAMAX polypropylene long-glass-fiber resins are formulated to replace steel in components such as front-end and door modules and offer lightweight solutions for fuel efficiency and emissions reduction. Targeting processors of clear, thin-wall, injection-molded (TWIM) food applications, Clyrell EM248U can also be used in in-mold labeling (IML) and off-set printing. Metallocene-based Metocene polypropylene (PP) copolymer is reactor-grade product which does not require vis-breaking or peroxides, and features low organoleptic properties.
