Polypropylene LGF Resins target global automotive industry.

SABIC Innovative Plastics
Pittsfield, MA 01201
Sep 26, 2008 SABIC® STAMAX polypropylene long-glass-fiber resins are formulated to replace steel in components such as front-end and door modules and offer lightweight solutions for fuel efficiency and emissions reduction. Resins offer design flexibility for part consolidation as well as performance properties including high stiffness, dimensional stability, high flow, and good crash behavior. Flow characteristics allow for thinner wall instrument panel carriers compared to traditional materials.

Polypropylene Copolymer has melt flow rate of 70 g/10 min.

Aug 30, 2007 Targeting processors of clear, thin-wall, injection-molded (TWIM) food applications, Clyrell EM248U can also be used in in-mold labeling (IML) and off-set printing. Metallocene-based Metocene polypropylene (PP) copolymer is reactor-grade product which does not require vis-breaking or peroxides, and features low organoleptic properties. Clyrell EM248U's high heat deflection temperature also enables it to retain stiffness in hot-fill applications.

Dec 11, 2006 Daplen(TM) ED230HP thermoplastic polyolefin features good stiffness/impact ratio and low thermal expansion for moulding parts that require low change of dimensions over broad temperature range. Suited for upper, middle, and lower part of dashboard carriers, Nepol GB215HP polypropylene compound provides high stiffness and dimensional stability, energy absorption, low emission, and long-term heat stabilization.

Polypropylene Compound offers ESD protection.

Oct 29, 2004 Nexstat-10C896 static dissipative polypropylene compound can be molded with consistent resistivity in range of 106-109 ohms/sq. It protects static sensitive components from damage caused by field induced voltages. Recyclable compound has low ionic contamination, low out gassing, and minimal sloughing. Product suits manufacture of static protective storage bins, tote boxes, guide rails, containers, racks, and shelving.

Compound suits thin-wall injection molding.

RTP Co.
Winona, MN 55987
Oct 26, 2004 High-flow conductive polypropylene compound is easy-to-mold, conductive material that achieves typical melt flows of 20 g/10 min and 2160 g at 230°C. Material minimizes warpage and retains physical properties with notched IZOD impact strength of 2.5 ft-lb/in. and no-break unnotched IZOD impact strength. Surface resistivity is 104 ohms/sq, with volume resistivity less than 25 ohm-cm. Applications include complex medical, electronic, and biotechnological devices.

Tri-Mer Corp.
Owosso, MI 48867
Aug 23, 2002 Suitable for use in corrosive environments, fabrications are manufactured from 3/16 to 1½ in. homogeneous polypropylene. Material is UV-stable and not subject to delamination or environmental stress cracking. Chemically inert and free of plasticizers, fabrications suit process and manufacturing applications. Performance life is rated at 20+ years.
