Riteflex® MT9000 series copolyester thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) are certified for use in pharmaceutical, medical, and food-contact applications. Series, which includes 7 grades, contains no plasticizers or animal ingredients and can be compounded in various FDA-compliant colors. Elastomers have softness, flexibility, and resilience of rubber, but are processed like thermoplastics by molding and extrusion processes. NexPrene® 9000 fully vulcanized materials range in hardness from 40 Shore A to 50 Shore D. They exhibit resistance to oil swell and compression set. Each offers consistent, natural color with yellowness index of less than 16. Bright whites can be obtained using concentrations of titanium dioxide as low as 0.5%. Since materials do not absorb moisture from atmosphere, they do not need to be dried prior to processing.
