Feb 24, 2006 Hybrid Heat(TM) system combines furnace with heat pump, which also acts as air conditioner in hot weather. Operated via electricity, environmentally sound heat pump moves heat without flame and features Puron® non-ozone-depleting refrigerant. System combines heating methods to minimize effects of gas and electricity costs.

Mar 23, 2004 Cold Climate Heat Pump™ provides continuous heating down to and below 0°. It uses multiple stages of heating through Bristol® TS Compressor, booster compressor, and economizer. These components, along with Johnson Metasys Control, respond to indoor and outdoor air conditions for both heating and cooling seasons. Coefficient of performance is 2.7 at 17°F and 2.0 at 0°F. Available in 2.5, 3.5, 4.0, and 5.0 ton models, pump uses EPA-approved R-410A refrigerant.

Air passing through unit is cooled and dehumidified and can be used for cooling basements, garages, and workshops. Water heater-mounted units require indoor location with 1,000 ft³ min space, adequate ventilation, and temperature range of 46 to 110°F.
