At FABTECH 2013
, taking place now in Chicago, ThomasNet News spoke with Alan Beaulieu, ITR Economics president, about the effect of fiscal uncertainty and the difficult economic realities facing manufacturing businesses today.
Beaulieu argues that the U.S. economy is not "recovering," that it is in fact growing, even if that growth is not as strong as some would like. He also discussed many of the political and regulatory issues impacting industry, and some of the factors that he believes will lead to a downturn next year.
