How Hard-Core Greenies Have Learned to Love Nuclear Energy
“The objective should be doubling the number of nuclear plants in operation.”
Who said that, Homer Simpson’s boss at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Mr. Burns? No, in fact, that was said in a 2007 interview appearing in Wired, by none other than Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace. In the same interview Moore said that nuclear accounts for roughly 20 percent of American electricity production, and that it needs to be about 50 percent. Read the rest of this entry »
Is it Ever a Good Idea to Incinerate Plastics?
Knee-jerk reaction would be “no way; burning plastics contributes to pollution and climate change.” But what if that plastic could be ‘recycled’ into energy?
