Design competitions are a noteworthy component of DOE’s strategy to move technology advancements in solid state lighting technology from the laboratory to the marketplace. According to a report, US Carbon And Energy Software Market 2010-14, issued by analyst firm Verdantix, large U.S. firms’ spending on carbon and energy management software will undergo a 51 percent compound annual growth rate between 2010 and 2014. It predicts that spending will increase from a base of $108 million in 2010 to $558 million in 2014, more than four times the 2010 value. Read the rest of this entry »
