“There’s an app for that.” If you own a smart phone or tablet computer, chances are you hear that phrase a lot. Today, there are phone apps that remind us to take our medication, help us become better kissers and annoy and repel teenagers. So it was inevitable that we’d be swamped with a tidal wave of apps that will allow us to become greener, more eco-conscious individuals. Whether these applications are truly helpful or a waste of perfectly good computer code (or money, in the case of paid apps) is a matter of opinion.
