Solar in South Africa: GOOOAAAAL!
Think green sources of energy lack the power to make a positive impact within the social environment of large populations? Think again. According to a recent article published in PC World, residents of Kenya’s Kibera, the largest slum settlement in sub-Saharan Africa, will soon have an opportunity to watch the FIFA 2010 World Cup live from South Africa, thanks to solar-power technology that was partially developed by youths in the slums. Global Energy Investment Remains Strong According to a Johnson Controls Survey
Johnson Controls, a leading provider of equipment and controls for HVACR as well as security systems for buildings, has released the findings of their 2010 Global Energy Efficiency Indicator. The survey, conducted across Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom and United States, shows that planned energy efficiency investments remain strong despite the global recession.
