Original Press Release:

New Elmo TT-02 Compact, Lightweight XGA Output Visual Presenter is Full-Featured Teaching Tool

PLAINVIEW, N.Y, MAY 19, 2006- The new ELMO TT-02 "Teacher's Tool" is a full featured compact XGA output Visual Presenter. It will premiere at InfoComm 2006. Under six pounds and easily transportable, it allows teachers to share information, documents and small 3D objects with audiences of any size. The ultra-sleek architecture works with almost any décor, from classroom to corporate boardroom. It carries an MSRP of under $800.

An advanced optical system- high quality 5.3x optical zoom, 8x digital zoom, one-touch auto focus-delivers sharp, color-accurate visuals with detailed close-ups. While presenting, the teacher can easily access the zoom control knob with the built-in auto focus push-button located at the end of the camera and not lose touch with the audience. It features an 850,000 pixel progressive scan CCD for faithful reproduction of full size A3 documents and 3D objects. A fast 20fps captures and displays objects in real-time

The TT-02 expands the teacher's use of microscopes to enrich classroom presentations. Its camera rotates so that it can be lined up precisely with the microscope eyepiece to display minute details of slides. Coupling devices are not required.

The unique arm design makes it easy to move the camera up and down to offer a wide variety of point-of-view images and get just the right angle for the teacher's presentation needs. It stays in position for accurate and precise focusing of any object. The stable camera arm does not transmit vibrations from the table or desk keeping images sharp and clear, a problem with some flexible camera arms, such as the gooseneck design. It also requires only one hand for easy adjustment, unlike some push-pull adjustable cameras.

A new camera mount design does not require additional lighting assistance other than standard classroom illumination. It puts an end to distracting overhead lighting units which can interfere with a student's line-of-vision. The camera also automatically adjusts to changing levels of room brightness for easy-to-view presentations, even in somewhat darkened rooms. A removable 8.5 x 11" shooting stage serves as a portable writing tablet allowing teachers to move around, jot notes and annotate documents and photos.

The camera offers optimum connectivity. Its switch-selectable output provides an RGB digital signal that goes to a DLP or LCD projector. Its signal can be output to NTSC to connect a standard TV or VCR for viewing and recording. The TT-02 can also be used as a switching device to loop-through a PC's output - allowing the user to switch between the shooting area and to a PC display such as a PowerPointR presentation. Two models are available, one with USB and one without. The TT-02u USB port makes it possible to download images to the computer's hard drive for storage.
